Since I’ve been a little lazy lately, I want to make up to you and indulge you by writing a nice and sweet mixing formula for a chocolate soap.

You’ll have to use :

  • 1 l of colza oil (rape oil )
  • 1 kg of coconut grease (fat)
  • 5 spoons of cococa
  • 10 ml of vanilla essence (which has to be oily )
  • 15 spoons of milk
  • 5 spoons of dried milk
  • 250 g of NaOH caustic soda (soda-lye) aka hydroxide sodium
  • 440 ml of distilled water

After you have all the ingredients together you’ll have to use them like this :

1st step : you take the coconut grease and the colza oil and put them togheter in a special bowl. You’ll have to place this bowl on a heater, and to let it there until the coconut grease starts to melt and has a temperature at about 50-56 degree

2nd step: you pour the water in a recipient , and slowly add the soda-lye.  after that you take all this mixture to cool off , until it has approximately 60 degrees.

3rd step. After you have reached the proper temperature in the first 2 steps you pour the water and soda mixture into the grease mixture. you have to stir up constantly with a wood spoon.

4th step Now you have to stir up this all new mixture for about half an hour. You can use a mixer to ease your work. When you see that the composition starts to thicken, you gently pour on all the ingredients , stiring up with the wood spoon, then with the mixer. When it looks like a pudding (when it has a sausage structure), you pour the mixture into forms. (any forms that you want and have decided earlier). You cover them with some blankets, and the mixture has to stay like this about 24 hours.

5th step. Now you  to take the soap from the forms , (if you have little forms you just take the soap from them, and if you have a bigger form such as a tray you can cut the soap into pieces in any shape you want ).

6th step. All you have to do now is to wait about 2 months ( at least 6 weeks), and then you can startenjoying your new chocolate soap.

Hope you’ll find this interesting , and you’ll give it a thought.

Good luck at your work . The soap is a delicious one, it moisture the skin and makes you want to eat it. If you wrap it up nicely it could be a great present .

2.Toilet water- is a perfume mixed with a base which drops the aroma of the used essence. Most products bought from the store are toilet water. The common point of this prepared perfumes are different types of alcohol which is prepared in a special way so that it could keep the scent (smell) in time .The toilet water contains approximate 20% essence and 80% perfume basee cologne.

3.The  Cologne -is considered to be a toilet water mixed with a substance that dilutes.Even if it’s used sometimes by men as perfume, it’s actually not a perfume, it’s used as a refreshing water. the difference is that is not as strong as a perfume and as a result it will evaporate to quickly, it doesn’t last to long..the cologne contains about 10% essence and different mixtures of nice smelling substances that makes it lasts longer.

Common ways of extracting the scent

oils-and-soaps-methods

1.Distillation with vapors:

Distillation is one of the oldest methods of extraction of essence from plants and flowers. You pour hot water on plants(or flowers), so that the essence could transform itself into vapors, vapors which by condensation will turn into drops of essence which you may collect.

2. Solvent extraction:

The solvent
extraction it’s used mostly for the delicate essences, which might lose some of their quality if you use the distillation with vapors. This method is more like a chemical process, where you use hydrocarbons which then is removed by distillation. There are lost of controverts about this method, because if we use chemical elements we cannot be sure that the resulted essence will not contain residual chemicals from solvency. Despite all of this, today lots of oils are obtained by solvency.

3. Pickling (to macerate):

You put the plants into a pot of oil and, you put a cover on them , and then you let this mix several days. The result is then refined(purified).

4. Pressing (squeezing):

It’s a simple method, used by lots of people, which helps you remove the oil from the floral part. It’s mostly used  oranges and lemons, because which contain volatile oils , but it can be used with and fruit/plant/or flower.
