Traditionally there are considered to be 2 methods :
1.The cold process soap making method. It’s called like this because you have to use low temperature to mill the soap.

- distilled water
- kitchen thermometers,
- a scale
- rubber gloves
- mold
- cardboard
- olive oil
- coconut oil
- a measuring cups
- shortening
- lye
- large stainless steel pot
- different types of fragrances
2.hot process soap making method. It’s called like this for its boiling pot method of soap milling
- what you need is:
- palm oil
- coconut oil
- sesame oil
- castor oil
- shea butter
- sodium hydroxide
- water
- soap molds
- stainless steel pot
- stirring stick / spoon
- borax
- plastic wrap
